2021 - Vraj in White!

 Jai Shri Krishna!

and a Happy 2021 to all the readers from the Vraj team!

Was at Vraj Temple during last week of February, as snow had stopped and had been a long time since my Vraj visit last year.

During the Hibernation period, we did spend some time listing and prioritizing the projects that we wanted to take on this year, and will share the details in later posts. (If I forget, do not hesitate to ask!).

However, back to my Vraj visit.  Was feeling excited to be at Vraj after quite a while, and the feeling was similar to the one of going to school on the first day of school re-opening after the holidays.  Atleast 1 partner in crime was coming too, so was happy to meet up with him in person.

Somehow, as soon as I take the turn onto Rt. 895, the car tends to speed up a bit!  Let me know if you have experienced it or not 😊 .

The road was a bit slushy from the slow rain, and had to be careful, but as soon as I reached the main entrance, i took the liberty to stop the car, slide down the window, and click a pic!

As you can see, everything was all white, but felt really good.

A few pics of the entrance and buildings as shared below.

Shri Yamunaji lake was almost frozen, except the place where the fountains were running.

When I went into our Canteen, our Swans were huddled into the corner, and preening themselves.

After having Gota, Poha, and hot chai, waited for Kaushikbhai and once he arrived, we completed Darshan and went out to check out the condition of our Garden beds.  However, view of Shri Giriraj ji from the temple was an indicator of things to come!
Check out the path to Giriraj ji completely covered in snow.

Despite this we walked over to Giriraj ji after a while and you can check out how cool the place looked!  By that time there was a bit of sun, and some of the snow started melting.

This is a view with our rose bushes completed covered in snow.

While returning, check out the view of our Nandalay entrance.

A few steps later, noticed this pattern of steps in the snow, and felt they were worth sharing.

A question to our Vraj visitors:
Can you identify where is this video taken?

As you can see, our plans to start working on the gardens seems to be delayed, as we will need the ground cleared of snow, warm enough to work before we can start.  Our plans to start second week of March are currently on hold. We will have to start in last week of March at the earliest.

Well, was fun sharing the pictures of Vraj in White!  hope you enjoy, and share your comments and feedback.

We have updated our Beautification site, so do check it out.

And if you are planning to visit Vraj soon, and want to help us out, do send out a note to Vraj Beautification team at vrajbeautification@gmail.com

Thanks and Jai Shri Krishna!
